FROM $8,650 USD PER PERSON

Where the City Ends and the Wild Begins.

Argentina is one of those countries that defies easy description – and this program doesn’t try. Instead, it moves you through it. Buenos Aires comes first: European architecture, the flow of tango, a city unlike any other in the Americas. Then, Patagonia: petrified forests, a glacier the size of a small country, and mountain silhouettes that stop you mid-sentence. It ends in Bariloche, where lakes, forests, and one of South America’s great hotels provide a finale that feels entirely earned. Three destinations. One country. Zero shortcuts.

Journey Overview

Days 1-3

Welcome to Buenos Aires

Your Argentine journey begins in Recoleta, one of Buenos Aires’ most elegant neighborhoods: jacaranda-lined avenues, ornate architecture, and a famous cemetery where Argentina’s most celebrated figures rest in extraordinary mausoleums. Your Local Host and fellow travelers are waiting. The welcome dinner is where empanadas are made, mate is sipped, and the journey begins in earnest. The following day brings a city tour through San Telmo’s cobblestone streets and antique markets, Puerto Madero’s sleek waterfront, and the wide boulevards of Palermo, before the group spends the evening at one of Buenos Aires’ most traditional tango houses – intimate, precise, and unforgettable.

Majestic Peaks, Patagonia Unfolding

A morning flight takes the group to El Calafate, where a scenic drive along the legendary Route 40 heads north across the Patagonian steppe – endless grassland, shimmering lakes, and peaks that grow taller as the road climbs. A stop at a traditional estancia for lunch offers a first taste of Patagonian hospitality. As El Chaltén comes into view, Mount Fitz Roy rises on the horizon – one of the most dramatic mountain silhouettes on earth. Dinner at the hotel restaurant – one of the finest in El Chaltén – closes an exceptional travel day. The following day visits Estancia Bonanza, hikes to the cascading Chorrillo del Salto waterfall, and finishes at Casa Madsen, where the story of one of El Chaltén’s first settlers brings the region’s frontier history vividly to life.

Fossils & Glaciers in El Calafate

Next, we journey south to El Calafate, stopping at La Leona Petrified Forest to walk among fossilized trees in a landscape shaped by time. In El Calafate, we settle into a hotel surrounded by Patagonian gardens before ascending to Cerro Huyliche in 4x4s for sweeping views and a Patagonian dinner at Estancia Huyliche. The following day, we visit the mighty Perito Moreno Glacier. Whether you explore it by walkway, boat, or mini-trek, the scale and silence of this icy giant leave a deep impression. It’s a powerful encounter with nature in one of Patagonia’s most iconic places.

Beauty and Flavors in Bariloche

A short flight north brings the group to Bariloche, where the contrast with Patagonia’s sparse steppe is immediate: blue lakes, pine-forested slopes, and snow-dusted Andean peaks in every direction. The Circuito Chico scenic drive reveals the best of the landscape before a hands-on session with a local chocolatier – a genuine Bariloche tradition – and a visit to a craft brewery overlooking Lake Moreno. Dinner at Llao Llao’s elegant restaurant closes an exceptional first day in Bariloche. The group then sails across Lake Nahuel Huapi to Victoria Island, with its ancient groves and white-sand beaches, and continues to the Arrayanes Forest, where cinnamon-colored trunks twist into an almost dreamlike canopy. The final evening brings the program’s most personal moment: gathered around a fire at a local chef’s home, with traditional Patagonian dishes, live music, and the particular warmth of a last night shared with people who have traveled far together.

Featured Hotels

Reflecting local hospitality through the finest amenities

Our travelers tell us that hotels are an integral part of their travel experiences. So, our staff handpicks each property for its unique character, local charm, and attention to detail. In our selection we treat comfort, location and service as “simply the basics,” so our vetting process goes well beyond that. Furthermore, our travelers tell us that they want boutique hotels. Not big, chain ones, because they want to be constantly reminded of the authenticity of the destination. Those hotels must reflect the region’s hospitality through their amenities and cultural touches. Therefore, we select hotels with the goal of making every night of your journey as remarkable as the days spent exploring.

Authentic Gratitude from SilverOpus Travelers

We Stand for More Savoring of Life

More finding all your passions at any age, always

our values

Our Promise to You Rests on Four Pillars

Respect

Simply fundamental. All that we do must, first and foremost, ensure that our clients, our partners, our staff and all those who live in our destinations feel entirely respected. The land must be respected. Nature must be respected. The people must be respected. All people. Honesty, fairness, care and much more are joined in a foundation of respect for all.

Authenticity

We study our destinations to understand what characterizes its beauty and relevance. Then, we fill our programs with what is most authentic about those destinations. We showcase nature, cuisine, hospitality and cultural experiences which are most valued by locals, not what is determined by the travel industry as most sellable. It is our way to stay true to authenticity, to enrich our programs with it.

Exclusivity

Our tribe is at the heart of what we do, every day. So, we don’t attempt to appeal to all. Instead, we put our efforts into creating excellence for those who love seeing the world like our tribe does. This philosophy restricts our audience to an exclusive set of travelers, and we don’t fight that. We embrace it and give them our everything.

Happiness

We are very serious about our work, but we can’t forget why we travel. And we travel because it makes us happy, joyous. Happiness from the scenery we see, the foods we taste, the people we meet and even from the hiccups that become fun stories, later on. So, we never forget that our work, serious as it is, is here to make you happy.
