From the initial planning phase with Elle to the seamless execution of operational details by Aja, every aspect of our trip was meticulously curated to create an unforgettable experience. The itinerary was thoughtfully designed, ensuring a perfect balance of adventure and cultural immersion. One of the standout moments was the husky safari in Kirkenes, where we embarked on a thrilling quest to witness the Northern Lights—a truly magical highlight of our trip. Through SilverOpus, we experienced the essence of Norwegian culture, indulging in local cuisine and enjoying the warm hospitality that made us feel at home. The local contact, David, was incredibly responsive and ensured that every detail was handled with precision. SilverOpus delivered a flawless experience that exceeded all expectations. There were no disappointments—only awe-inspiring moments throughout our journey. We wholeheartedly recommend SilverOpus for anyone seeking a well-planned and truly memorable adventure in Norway!Posted on Deborah Skold2024-10-23Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Discover Scandinavia created a custom made tour of Sweden for me and my cousin. The tours they selected for us were very informative and exactly the places we were interested in seeing. We loved the tour guides and got a real feel for the culture. All accommodations were top tier. I’d highly recommend them for your next Scandinavian adventure. The places we visited, by and large, were very enjoyable. The hotels we stayed at in each city were exceptionally nice, superior first-class in each city. I especially enjoyed the Opus XVI in Bergen which was probably the best one on this trip. We did spend a lot of time, by necessity, on trains and ferries. The Flam railway trip was amazing, although the town itself seemed to me to be quite the "tourist trap." Ou local guides in each city were amazing and being able to experience local culture was special. I would certainly recommend Discover Scandinavia Tours.Posted on Ka Bl2024-10-21Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Wonderful plans and service for my trip to Sweden.Posted on Peter Jarvis2024-10-21Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Scheduled a ten day trip to Norway with DST and had a wonderful experience. They worked around all my stated preferences and mapped out an excellent vacation routing with exceptional hotel arrangements. And their pricing was 40% less than a travel agency competitor. I believe you’ll find them easy to work with and quite competent.Posted on Gisele Weast2024-09-06Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. My husband and I celebrated my retirement by taking a Scandinavian trip. We narrowed down the countries we wanted to visit to Iceland, Denmark, Norway and Sweden. We had also decided we wanted the whole trip including transportation from city to city, Hotels and daily activities/excursions planned for us. We came across Discover Scandinavia Tours after much research and comparing what each Tour Company offered. After a phone call with Marcelo from Discover Scandinavia, we knew we picked the right Tour company. His experience and 1st hand knowledge of these Countries and the various activities/excursions put us at ease. He took the time to listen to our special requests and was able to accommodate our needs. We were sold. We were then turned over to Vicky and Aja who worked through all the Logistics and Bookings for our trip. They were fantastic and very responsive anytime we had questions. Needless to say, we had a fantastic vacation. Each Hotel we stayed at was beautiful, clean and a central location. We felt safe everywhere we went. We enjoyed all the activities we did. We had some minor hiccups associated with some of the private drivers not showing up at no fault of Discover Scandinavia and Vicky and Aja were quick to help resolve. Nothing that ruined our trip. We only have the best of memories.Posted on Edward Pasquesi2024-09-06Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. In June, my wife and I did a wonderful private tour of Scandinavian countries with Discover Scandinavia Tours. We loved everything about the countries. The people, the cities, the country sides, and The Fiords! A seamless, well-organized trip, nice hotels, very good guides, just a great experience! And the people at DST were the best throughout. Thank youPosted on Susan Barna2024-07-15Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. My husband and I, along with 4 other couples, just returned from a 7- day, private Luxe Winter Tour of Iceland (Oct 23-30). DST handled every detail for us…all we had to do was book our flights! We were met at the airport in Keflavik and whisked to our hotel in Reykjavik, a scenic 45 minute drive. The hotels we stayed at were 4-star…3 nights in Reykjavik, 2 in Husafell and 2 in Hella. Each hotel had its own charm and were so comfortable. The individual tour guides for the itinerary that DST planned for us were personable and knowledgeable. We soaked in 3 different thermal pools throughout the country, went on 2 evening quests for the Northern Lights (and saw them!), saw spectacular waterfalls, hiked into a Lava Cave and traversed the side of a glacier to reach the Secret Ice Caves. We had plenty of “down time” to explore on our own as well as relax. The food in Iceland is delicious…especially the fish and lamb. There is a plethora of restaurants in Reykjavik to choose from, all within a short walking distance from our hotel. Husafell and Hella are a bit more remote but the hotel restaurants were top notch. The buffet breakfasts (included in our tour package) offered a wide variety of options…sausage, bacon, smoked salmon, eggs, breads, fruits, coffee, juices. A great way to start each day of exploring this beautiful and pristine country. If Iceland is on your “bucket list” (it truly is a must-see!) I highly recommend that you contact Discover Scandinavia Tours. They offer small group tours (12 people max) on scheduled dates or consider their private tour, if you want more flexibility in your travel dates and want to experience Iceland with family and/or friends. Our group of 10 all agree that our trip to Iceland was what I like to call a PLE (Peak Life Experience!). Fabulous trip, great hotels and knowledgeable tour guides!Posted on Tina Gormley2024-07-05Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Discover Scandinavia did a wonderful job creating an itinerary with some free time for us to explore. The hotels were all perfectly located and the suggested activities were all spot on. Such a memorable trip, even our teenagers loved it!

Featured Hotels
Our travelers tell us that hotels are an integral part of their travel experiences. So, our staff handpicks each property for its unique character, local charm, and attention to detail. In our selection we treat comfort, location and service as “simply the basics,” so our vetting process goes well beyond that. Furthermore, our travelers tell us that they want boutique hotels. Not big, chain ones, because they want to be constantly reminded of the authenticity of the destination. Those hotels must reflect the region’s hospitality through their amenities and cultural touches. Therefore, we select hotels with the goal of making every night of your journey as remarkable as the days spent exploring.
